The 2022 race will take place on Saturday, February 19th, from 9 PM on Texas A&M's campus. For the second year in a row, we have added a team aspect to G.L.O.W. In addition to the opportunity to sign up individually, you can sign up as a team to run the 5K together. For more info about teams, refer to the registration section below. The top three teams that finish the 5k with the fastest times will earn a monetary grand prize to the winning team's philanthropy of choice. The winner from the individual runners will earn a gift card.

Let's GLOW!
In 2005, Maggies and Aggie Men’s Club joined together to put on the first Giving To Light Others’ Way (G.L.O.W) 5K, held on the Texas A&M University campus.
Maggies is partnered with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Brazos Valley, an organization dedicated to helping kids of all ages in the Bryan/College Station community find mentors they can look up to and rely on to better themselves and their futures.
AMC supports Kairos, a school located in Ciudad Vieja, Guatemala. Beginning as a Saturday feeding program for children in need, Kairos has grown into a school that provides education through the eighth grade.

Last year, G.L.O.W. raised $26,000 and over 2,000 Aggies and the surrounding community participated. We hope to raise $30,000 for our philanthropies this year through your participation in this fun-run!

A chance to win a gift card (for individuals) or a monetary prize to the philanthropies of choice (for teams winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
Team Guidelines:

An organization can have multiple teams.
-
You can have as many teams of 10 or less, however in order to create another team under the same organization the existing team(s) need to have the max of 10 people.
-
Each additional team will contribute a time reduction to their organization's final time (specific number of time-reduction will not be finalized until the team deadline).
-
In order for a team to contribute a time-reduction, they have to register as a team member before the team deadline (if they register as an individual, that will not count).

The best way to win is to go as fast as possible in the team race, and have as many teams registered under your organization as possible.

This is not a relay. The team(s) will run the entire 5K together.

People outside of your organization may register with your team.

If you create one team that has less than 10 people, you will not be eligible to win the team award.
The diagram below is just an example!!!! Like mentioned above, the time reduction number will NOT be decided until the day of the race, so the '10 seconds' is just being used to help explain the final time.

In the past, G.L.O.W. raised $26,000 with over 2,000 participants from the Bryan/College Station area. We anticipate a significant increase in our numbers this upcoming year. We ask that you help us in reaching our goal of $30,000 by donating to G.L.O.W. Our hope is to continue contributing to our respective philanthropies in bigger and better ways as they continue to grow.
